Advertiser Quickstart Guide

Launch your first pay-per-action campaign and let promoters drive real results. This guide covers everything from profile setup to monitoring live analytics.

Step 01
Create your ad profile

After signing up, navigate to your dashboard and create an advertiser profile. This is the public identity promoters see when they decide whether to promote your campaigns.

Add your company name, logo, a short description of what you do, and a link to your website. A complete, professional-looking profile attracts higher-quality promoters who are selective about what they recommend.

You can create multiple ad profiles if you manage campaigns for different brands or products under the same account.

Step 02
Set up your first campaign

Click "Create Campaign" from your advertiser dashboard. Give it a clear, descriptive name that tells promoters exactly what they will be promoting.

Write a compelling campaign description. The best descriptions explain what the product does, who it is for, and why promoters should care. Include any talking points or messaging guidelines you want promoters to follow.

Set your target URL. This is the destination page that promoter links will redirect to. Use a landing page optimized for the action you want visitors to take.

Choose your payout model: CPC pays per click, CPI pays per app install, and CPA pays for custom actions like signups or purchases. Pick the model that aligns with your business goals.

Step 03
Define conversion goals

Each campaign needs at least one goal that defines what counts as a successful conversion. A goal can be a link click, an app install, an account signup, a purchase, or any other measurable action.

Set the payout amount for each goal. This is how much you pay a promoter every time they drive a conversion. Research competitive rates in your category to attract promoters without overspending.

For CPA campaigns, you will need to integrate a conversion pixel or server-side webhook so TonicPow knows when an action has occurred. The API guide covers this in detail.

Step 04
Fund your campaign

Deposit BSV to your campaign wallet directly from your dashboard. Funds are held in escrow and only released when verified conversions occur.

Set daily and total budget limits to control spend. Daily limits prevent budget exhaustion on high-traffic days, while total limits cap lifetime spend on a campaign.

You can top up your campaign balance at any time. If the balance runs out, the campaign pauses automatically and resumes when you add more funds.

Step 05
Launch and monitor

Once your campaign is funded, set it to active. Promoters can now discover it in the marketplace and generate their tracked links.

If you want to vet promoters before they can promote your campaign, enable the approval requirement. You will receive a notification each time a promoter applies, and you can review their profile before granting access.

Watch your analytics dashboard for real-time data on clicks, conversions, spend, and promoter performance. Adjust payout rates or pause underperforming promoters as needed.

Campaign optimization tips
  • Start with a competitive payout rate, then adjust based on performance data. A slightly higher rate attracts more promoters and generates data faster.
  • Provide promoters with creative assets: images, copy snippets, and key selling points. Make it easy for them to produce quality content about your product.
  • Monitor your conversion rate, not just click volume. If clicks are high but conversions are low, the issue is usually your landing page, not your promoters.
  • Respond to promoter applications quickly. The best promoters choose campaigns that feel active and well-managed.
  • Test different payout models on the same product. Some products convert better on CPC, others on CPA. Let the data decide.
